When applicable, we may ask for an image of your official identification (in accordance with applicable laws) or other verification information, and/or a selfie when we verify your identification. If a copy of your identification is provided to us, we will obtain the information contained in your identification.

  • Data regarding your device and internet connection: Through technical logs and similar mechanisms, we record details concerning the device you utilize, including the manufacturer, operating system, and browser version. Additionally, we gather data regarding your connection to our services, such as IP address, network identifier, cookies, and unique identifier files. The information you provide to identify yourself is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is not shared with hosts or travelers.

We may disclose this information to authorized external service providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS) in order to expedite the identity verification process, for example, to verify your identity, the validity of your identification documents, and your criminal background (if permitted by applicable law).

1.4 How do we manage your data?

Only authorized Accommodate Premium Services Ltd staff and authorized external providers may access the information you submit to us. All data is securely stored and transferred, including through secure encryption.

We process the information for the purposes for which it was collected, as set out in our Privacy Policy, including the following:

We delete official identifications once the retention period established for the above purposes has elapsed, without prejudice to any retention required for legal purposes. After your identification is deleted, we will continue to retain the corresponding information to manage your account and comply with the law, as well as for general security purposes.

1.4.1 Payment Information. Such as payment account or bank account information. If you are not a user of Accommodate Premium Services, we may receive payment information related to you, for example, when a user of Accommodate Premium Services provides their payment card to complete a reservation.

1.4.2 Information You Voluntarily Provide. You may choose to provide us with additional personal information, including:

  • Additional Profile Information. Such as gender, preferred languages, city, and personal description.
  • Information About Others. Such as payment instrument or contact information belonging to another person or information about a travel companion. By providing us with personal data about third parties, you certify that you have permission to provide that information to Accommodate Premium Services for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and that you have shared the Accommodate Premium Services Privacy Policy with them.
  • Biometric Information. Such as facial recognition data derived from photos and identification documents you submit for verification, when offered and with your consent as required by applicable law.
  • Other Information. For example, when you fill out a form, add information to your account, respond to surveys, post on community forums, participate in promotions, communicate with our Customer Service, and other Members, import or manually enter contacts into your address book, provide your address and/or geolocation, or share your experience with us. This may include health information if you choose to share it with us.
  • Information Automatically Collected Through the Accommodate Premium Services Platform and Our Payment Services. When you use the Accommodate Premium Services Platform and Payment Services, we collect certain information automatically. This information may include:
  1. Geolocation Information. Such as precise or approximate location, determined from your IP address, your cellphone or other device’s GPS, or other information you share with us, depending on your device’s settings. We may also collect this information when you are not using the app if you enable it through device settings or permissions.
  2. Usage Information. Such as Ad searches, completed reservations, added additional services, access dates and times, pages you viewed or interacted with before or after using the Accommodate Premium Services Platform, and other actions taken on the Accommodate Premium Services Platform, including pages or content you view and links you click to third-party applications. We may collect this information even if you have not created an account on Accommodate Premium Services or logged in.
  3. Device Information. Such as IP address, hardware and software information, device information, device event information, unique identifiers, error data, and reading receipts. We may collect this information even if you have not created an account on Accommodate Premium Services or logged in.
  4. Cookies and Similar Technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.
  5. Payment Transaction Information. Such as the payment instrument used, the date and time, the payment amount, the payment instrument’s expiration date and billing postcode, the PayPal email address, IBAN information, your address, and other transaction-related details.

Information We Collect from Third Parties. We may collect personal information from other sources, such as:

  • Third-Party Applications. If you choose to link, connect, or log in to the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform with a third-party service, such as Google, Facebook, and WeChat, you authorize such service to send us information, such as your registration, your friends list, and your profile information, as controlled by such service or as you authorize through such service’s privacy settings. If you decide to connect a smart lock to your Accommodate Premium Services Ltd account, we may collect information about the smart device, such as registration or event information and device information.
  • Background Information Providers. For Members in Ireland, to the extent permitted by applicable laws, we may obtain, for example, criminal background reports, sex offender registries, and other information about you and your background. For Hosts in India, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we may conduct criminal background checks. For Members outside of the Ireland, to the extent permitted by law, and with your consent when required, we may obtain a criminal history or sex offender registry. We may use your information, including your full name and date of birth, to obtain such reports.
  • Business Products Invitations and Account Management. Organizations using our business products may send data and personal information to facilitate account management and invitations to use business products.
  • Referrals and Travel Companions. If you are invited to the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform, for example, as a travel companion, the person who invited you may send personal information about you.
  • Guest Travel Insurance Partners. If you make a claim under a Guest Travel Insurance Policy, we may receive information about your claim to provide customer service and improve our platform.
  • Claimants. If a Host, a Guest, or a third party makes a complaint about you, we may receive information related to the specific complaint made to understand and, where appropriate, address the complaint.
  • Financial Institutions. If you choose to pay with funds from your bank account, we may receive certain information from your financial institution, such as bank account details and account balance.
  • Flexible Payment Plans and Financing Providers. If you choose to purchase a reservation and pay in installments, we may receive certain information from the external provider, such as the payment schedule and actual payments in authorized payment plans.
  • Other Sources. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may receive additional information about you, such as references, demographic data, and information to help detect fraud and security issues from (i) third-party service providers, other third parties or partners, or (ii) Members and any other person, entity, or authority, and combine it with the information we have about you. For example, we may receive criminal background check results or fraud warnings from identity verification service providers to use in our fraud prevention processes, security investigations, and risk assessments. We may receive information about you and your activities inside and outside the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform, including from Accommodate Premium Services users, members of the public or governmental, public or fiscal authorities, or your experiences and interactions from our partners. We may receive health information, including but not limited to, health information related to contagious diseases.

At Accommodate Premium Services, we maintain access to all personal information collected from you. With your consent provided during signup or through relevant email forms, we may share collected information with carefully vetted third parties for the purpose of contacting you about products or services that we believe may align with your interests. In the event of a joint venture, sale, or merger involving Accommodate Premium Services, your information may be disclosed to our new business partners or owners.

Our Platform

Our platform facilitates interaction among members. When you send a message to another member, your message is shared with the intended recipient.

Service Providers

We enlist the assistance of service providers to aid in delivering our services to you. This includes tasks such as payment processing, site maintenance, and fraud detection. These service providers are granted access to your information solely to the extent necessary to perform their designated tasks on our behalf. They are contractually obligated not to disclose or utilize your data for any other purposes. For instance, when a user makes a purchase on our Android application {v5.0.0.0 and later versions}, we utilize Stripe (our payment partner) to process payments. Stripe acts as the data controller for information gathered during and in support of payment processing. Legal Obligations

We may disclose your information when legally obligated to do so, such as in response to a subpoena or other legal process. Your personal data may also be shared if we believe such disclosure is necessary to:

Change of Ownership

2.1 Providing, Improving, and Developing the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform

2.2 Protecting the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform and the Community

  • Detect, prevent, evaluate, and address fraud and security risks,
  • Verify or authenticate the information you provide, including identity information, as described in Necessary Information to Use the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform,
  • Perform checks with databases and other sources of information, including background checks,
  • Comply with our legal obligations, protect the health and well-being of Guests, Hosts, host employees, and members of the public,
  • Resolve disputes with our Members, including sharing information with their Co-hosts or additional Guests about disputes related to their role as Co-hosts or additional Guests,
  • Enforce our agreements with third parties,
  • Determine if requirements for certain types of reservations, such as Instant Booking, are met,
  • Comply with the law, respond to legal requests, prevent harm, and protect our rights (see Compliance with the Law, Responding to Legal Requests, Preventing Harm, and Protecting Our Rights),
  • Enforce our Terms and other policies (e.g., the Discrimination Policy), and
  • Evaluate your interactions with the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform and information obtained from third parties.

In certain cases, automated processes, which analyze your account and activities on the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform, as well as information related to activities inside and outside the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform that may be associated with you, may restrict or suspend your access to the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform if such processes detect activities that may pose a security risk or other type of risk to Accommodate Premium Services Ltd, to our community, or to third parties. 2.3 Providing, Customizing, Measuring, and Improving Our Advertising and Marketing

We may process this data to:

  • Send you promotional and marketing messages, and other information,
  • Display, customize, measure, and improve our advertising on advertising platforms,
  • Administer referral, rewards, surveys, sweepstakes, contests, or other promotional activities or events sponsored or managed by Accommodate Premium Services Ltd or its external partners,
  • Analyze characteristics and preferences to send you promotional messages, marketing information, advertising, and other content that we believe may be of interest to you, and
  • Invite you to relevant events and opportunities.

2.4 Analyzing and Sharing Your Communications

We may review, inspect, or analyze your communications on the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform for the reasons described in this policy, including reasons related to fraud prevention, security investigations, risk assessment, compliance, product development, studies, analysis, compliance with our Terms of Service, and customer service. For example, as part of our fraud prevention efforts, we examine and analyze messages to conceal contact information and references to other websites, and subject to applicable law, we examine and analyze all images that users upload to the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform in message threads, profiles, Listings, and Experiences to detect certain illegal or inappropriate activities (such as evidence of child exploitation) in order to identify and report content violations to the appropriate authorities. In some cases, we will also inspect, review, or analyze messages for debugging, improving, and expanding product offerings. We use automated methods when reasonably possible. However, occasionally, we may need to manually review some communications, such as fraud investigations and customer service, or evaluate and improve the functionality of these automated tools. We will not review, inspect, or analyze your communications to send you marketing messages from third parties, and we will not sell reviews or analyses of these communications.

2.5 Providing Payment Services

The data and personal information are used to enable or authorize third parties to use the Payment Services, among other purposes:

3.1 Sharing with Your Consent or Under Your Direction

When you have given your consent or instructed us to share your information, we share your information as described at the time you provide your consent or make the corresponding choice, such as when we authorize a third-party application or website to access your account at Accommodate Premium Services Ltd, when we process an insurance claim, when we request flexible payment and financing products, or when we participate in promotional activities with Accommodate Premium Services Ltd partners or third parties.

3.2 With Whom We Share

3.2.1 Other Members

To help facilitate reservations or other interactions between Members (who may be located in jurisdictions with different levels of data protection or rely on service providers located in such jurisdictions), we may need to share information in certain situations, as described in Sharing and disclosing information with other Members.

3.2.2 Service Providers for Members

Hosts may use third-party services to manage or provide their services, such as cleaning or security service providers. Hosts may use Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform features to share information about the Guest with such third-party service providers. Other Members may use services other than Accommodate Premium Services Ltd to process their data, including email or reservation management software. Such services are outside the control of Accommodate Premium Services Ltd and will be subject to applicable law.

3.2.3 Building Management

We may share personal information of Hosts and Guests with the owners of a Accommodation, a homeowners association, and/or their agent, such as a building operator or property management company (“Building Management”), including reservation information and information related to compliance with applicable laws, in order to facilitate programs with Building Management. For example, personal data and reservation data of Guests, including Guest contact information, may be shared with Building Management, the complex, or community where the Host lives or where the Accommodation is located, to facilitate host services, compliance with applicable laws, security, billing, and other services.

3.2.4 Accommodate Premium Services for Work Partners

If a reservation is designated as for business or work travel and is made by a Guest affiliated with a Company enrolled in Accommodate Premium Services for Work, we may disclose reservation-related information to the Company to the extent necessary for the proper fulfillment of Accommodate Premium Services’s contract with the Company and to provide services. At the request of the Company or the Guest, we may also share this information with third parties contracted by the Company to provide assistance services.

3.2.5 Service Providers

We share personal information with affiliated and unaffiliated service providers (including their service providers) to assist us in managing our business and for their compliance purposes, including those that help us: (i) verify your identity or authenticate your identification documents, (ii) match information with public databases, (iii) conduct criminal background checks, fraud prevention, security investigations, and risk assessments, (iv) develop, maintain, and debug products, (v) enable the provision of Accommodate Premium Services Ltd through third-party platforms and software tools, (vi) provide customer service, advertising, or payment services (see Citi Privacy Policy and Payoneer Privacy Policy for more information), (vii) offer additional services that you select, (viii) process, manage, or evaluate insurance claims or similar claims, (ix) review, inspect, and analyze communications on the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform for certain purposes, such as evidence of child exploitation, or (x) offer flexible payment plans and financing provided by an external credit provider. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your personal information, have access to your personal information to perform these tasks, and may also disclose your information when required by law.

3.2.6 Corporate Affiliates

To help us provide, integrate, promote, and improve the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform, Payment Services, and the services of our affiliates, we may share personal information with our corporate family of companies, which includes:

3.2.6(i) Accommodate Premium Services Ltd

Even if your country of residence is not Ireland, your data will be shared with Accommodate Premium Services Ltd, which provides the technical infrastructure for the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform.

3.2.6(ii) Accommodate Payments

To facilitate payments on the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform or through it, certain information will be shared with the Accommodate Payments entity.

3.2.6(iv) Accommodate Ireland

Even if your country of residence is outside the EEA, your information may be shared with Accommodate Premium Services ltd in Ireland, which provides customer service and other business operations services to other Accommodate entities.

3.3 Why We May Share Your Information

We may share your information for the following purposes:

3.3.1 Building Your Public Profile. The information you share publicly on the Accommodate Premium Services Ltd Platform may be indexed by third-party search engines. In some cases, you can disable the sharing of your information in your account settings. We may allow certain information to be visible to the public, such as:

Your profile and account information, as well as information derived from these.

Listing pages for Accommodations include information such as approximate or precise location of the Accommodation or Experience, availability in the calendar, profile photo, aggregated demand information, and additional information you choose to share,

Reviews, ratings, and other public comments, and

Content in a community or discussion forum, blog, or social media post, and content you make available to the public, including details of the Listing on third-party sites, platforms, and applications.

3.3.2 Compliance with the Law, Responding to Legal Requests, Preventing Harm, and Protecting Our Rights.

3.3.2(i) Disclosure. We may disclose your information to courts, law enforcement, government or public authorities, tax authorities, authorized third parties, or other Members to the extent required or permitted by law, or when disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (i) comply with our legal obligations, (ii) comply with a valid legal request, such as a subpoena or court order, or respond to claims against Accommodate Premium Services Ltd, (iii) respond to a valid legal request related to a criminal investigation to address alleged illegal activity, or respond or address any other activity that may expose us, you, or any other of our users to legal or regulatory liability, (iv) enforce and manage our agreements with Members, including our Terms, Additional Legal Terms, and Policies, (v) respond to legal claims or current or potential legal proceedings related to Accommodate Premium Services Ltd and/or third parties, in accordance with applicable law, or (vi) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Accommodate Premium Services Ltd, its employees, its Members, or members of the public.

3.3.2(i)(a) To Tax Authorities. When required or permitted by law, in accordance with applicable legislation, we may disclose Hosts’ and/or Guests’ information to the relevant tax authorities or other government agencies, depending on where you are located, for these agencies to determine whether you are properly complying with the corresponding tax obligations.

3.3.2(i)(b) To Government Authorities for Registrations, Notifications, Permits or License Requests and Numbers. In jurisdictions where Accommodate Premium Services Ltd facilitates or requires registration, notification, permission, or license request or number of a Host with a government authority, we may share the information of the relevant Hosts with the relevant authority, during the application process, when the Listing is published, and periodically.

3.3.2(ii) Notification. Where applicable and/or legally necessary, we may notify Members about legal requests, unless: (i) notification is prohibited by the legal process itself, by a received court order, or by applicable law, or (ii) we believe that providing the notification would be futile, ineffective, would cause a risk of injury or bodily harm to a person or group, would create or increase a risk of fraud or harm to Accommodate Premium Services Ltd, our Members, or expose Accommodate Premium Services Ltd to a claim of obstruction of justice.

3.3.3 Carrying Out Commercial Transfers. If Accommodate Premium Services Ltd carries out or participates in any merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or insolvency event, we may sell, transfer, or share all or part of our assets, including your information in connection with such transaction or with a view to such transaction, as in a due diligence process. In such case, we will send you a notification before your personal data is transferred and subject to a different privacy policy.
